September 2008

The Envision Group's courseware for MicroStation V8 XM Edition is made available for purchase. These manuals are complete with reference information and a CD containing lab exercises. XM Edition training is offered in versions for Civil Engineering and one for Architectural Drafting/Design.

January 2008

The Envision Group celebrated the New Year by welcoming two
great additions:

Mr. Dhanil Nikolla is a highly skilled CADD Technician who provides a variety of CADD services and MicroStation production assistance. Hailing originally from Albania, Dhanil worked for many years as a petroleum engineer. He continues to impress The Envision Group staff with his amazing sense of humor and his ability to utilize the latest English slang better than a native speaker.

Ms. Karen Weiss is the Engineering Applications Manager and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Wisconsin. Karen brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the optimal use of MicroStation, CAiCE, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Part of her New Year's resolution is to optimize The Envision Group staff's physical fitness by enlisting them in her advanced kick-boxing classes.

August 2007

The Envision Group welcomes new team member Mrs. Melanie Hamilton Ulland. Melanie will assist the company with office administration and marketing.

July 2007

The Envision Group welcomes Mr. Ben Felder to the graphics team. Ben will assist the visualization department with his skills as a graphic artist.

Moved offices and training facility to Suite 102 of our building at 8517 Excelsior Drive in Madison, WI. Our telephone and fax numbers remain the same.

At yet another company outing, ‘Big Deal Bob’ is reported as screaming ”SWEET JESUS” while appearing to search the heavens and vigorously pounding the tabletop at a local hot-wing eating establishment.

June 2007

The Envision Group celebrates 10 years of providing education, consulting, support, and architectural illustration for government and private organizations both nationally and internationally.

Bob Mecham, a partner in the firm, suffers a minor gun-shot wound on a company outing. ’Big Deal Bob’ shakes it off and whining is kept to a minimum once the crying subsides. In a related action, Senior Systems Analyst Rod Wing is subsequently appointed both safety and security manager duties based on the obvious need for such.

May 2007

New Services offered by The Envision Group now include setup, configuration, and support for the IPlot package and PDF Composer. Additionally custom programming and development services are available.

While tailgating at a Brewers game for a company outing, an unnamed staff member attempted to inflict a concussion to a Packer fan by throwing a football like a true Vikings enthusiast.

April 2007

Mr. Andrew Domask (of Matlab fame) is granted the title of director of merriment and employee exuberance. Shortly thereafter a high-level technical interactive algorithm is developed for in-depth analysis of employee ideas of what constitutes fun.

March 2007

The Envision Group welcomes, Mr. Rod Wing as a Senior Systems Analyst. Rod has over 20 years experience in integrating and customizing applications for CADD, Cartography, GIS, and publishing. Rod has specialized in the software from Bentley Systems Inc., including MicroStation, IPlot, Descartes, and GeoGraphics. Rod is an instructor of MicroStation classes.

February 2007

Mr. Andy Domask joins The Envision Group as a CADD Specialist with a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. Andy assists with courseware development, configuration, and instructs MicroStation classes. His academic accomplishments in math, science, strategic, and interpretive skills along with his vast knowledge of computer programming make Andy a valuable addition to our staff.

January 2007

The Envision Group now offers both fundamental and intermediate/advanced InRoads courses based on all releases of InRoads from version 8.2 through InRoads XM.

Enhanced Visualization Capabilities Unleashed in MicroStation XM 8.9

The Envision Group formed a regional CADD Manager’s Forum for the free exchange of ideas by CADD system administrators.

New Seminar Series offered by The Envision Group for Bentley’s newly released MicroStation XM.

August 2006

InRoads Fundamentals and InRoads Survey Fundamentals training courses for InRoads version 8.7 offered by The Envision Group.

May 2006

Bentley's MicroStation XM is commercially released and without delay the Envision Group begins providing release update training, configuration and implementation services. Additionally training is available to CADD managers for the new software version.

December 2005

The Envision Group expanded overall services to include local CADD production assistance.

October 2005

Expanded our overall services to include print and brochure design, CD and DVD authoring, web site design, and digital video editing and production.

July 2005

Mr. Jerry LaVoi-Wiemer joined The Envision Group. Jerry will be assisting in our drafting and training capabilities.

January 2005

Bob Mecham (aka BBQ Bob) demonstrates his "borders can't hold me" decree in his quest for the perfect BBQ. Well, at least his company credit card does. While Bob is sampling the wares of the smoked meat vendors in Oklahoma, his credit card is racking up thousands of dollars in charges in Mexico City. BBQ Bob denies making midnight runs south of the border, though nothing was said of take-out.

June 2004

Mr. Ryan Spaulding joined The Envision Group to enhance our visualization and multimedia capabilities.

Reorganized company to a corporation to facilitate continual growth.

We have modified our company name from Envision Graphics to The Envision Group. The new name better reflects the range of services we provide beyond 3D modeling and visualization. We have become a leading suppler of training for MicroStation and the InRoads suite of products.

The Envision Group has been Authorized by the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board to provide Certified Professional Development Training.

August 2002

Due to expansion of our business, as of September 3, 2002, we moved our offices and training facility to 8517 Excelsior Drive in Madison, WI (suites 205 and 109). Our new training facility incorporates new equipment for our students use. Our telephone and fax numbers remain the same.

October 2001

Envision Graphics announces its "Seminar Series," a wide range of informational topics. These "seminars"can be held at your location on specific topics at a minimal cost.

July 2001

Envision Graphics is authorized by Bentley Systems, Inc. to provide"Bentley Institute Training" for the InRoads suite of products. This includes InRoads, InRoads Site, and InRoads Survey on both the MicroStation and AutoCAD platforms. In the United States, we are 1 of only 3 firms outside the Bentley organization to achieve this level of certification. This means that you are receiving training from a highly skilled and knowledgeable instructor that has completed Bentleys rigorous certification process. As such, your training can be considered as "further education" as required by certain professional requirements.
